The Upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Mercedes Benz A-Class Concept

At a recent event in Amsterdam, Mercedes-Benz shocked the world by unveiling the all-new, fourth-generation A-Class. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been available in Europe, while customers in North America were forced to watch on from the sidelines unable to enjoy the brand’s smallest, most affordably priced car. The company recently announced that the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be available in the North American market for the first time.

Meet the All-New 2019 Mercedes A-Class

The A-Class offers something entirely different compared to other Mercedes-Benz models. In Europe, the A-Class is mostly known as a stylish, luxury compact hatchback. Mercedes announced that it currently has no plans to bring this popular hatchback to the US market, but it will be available in Canada.

Nonetheless, the new A-Class is meant to spawn a whole new family of vehicles, which means that American drivers won’t be left out entirely. Instead of the European-style hatchback, Mercedes-Benz will be releasing at least two different A-Class compact sedans to the US market that are meant to provide an alternative to the slightly larger CLA coupe.

Overall, the design and features of the 2019 A-Class sedans will be the same as the European model with the obvious exception of the hatchback. This means that American drivers can still enjoy the A-Class’ stylish snub-nosed front and fully-loaded interior. Nonetheless, we won’t know all of the exact details and specifications until Mercedes-Benz finally unveils the A-Class sedan to the public, which is expected to happen this autumn at the Paris Motor Show.

Still, it is likely that drivers will be able to take advantage of a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine to enjoy a sporty, fun ride with plenty of pep in its step. As well, the vehicle should feature the company’s innovative LINGUATRONIC voice-assistant technology, which recently made its debut on the 2018 A-Class. Designed to compete with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa technology used by other automakers, Mercedes-Benz proprietary voice-assistant technology integrates into a vehicle’s navigation, entertainment, phone and climate control functions for totally hands-free usage.

The overall style, performance, and available features should all make the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class stand out once it does finally hit the American market. Nonetheless, one of the vehicle’s biggest selling points has always been its price. In fact, the four-door A-Class sedan will not only be the smallest sub-C-Class sedan ever offered in the United States, but it should also prove to be the most affordable Mercedes model as well.

This promises to be great news for drivers looking for a stylish, powerful compact sedan featuring the best in high-performance German engineering. Customer will have to wait a number of months until the new 2019 A-Class sedan is released. Patience is a virtue, and the good news is United States sales of the A-Class should start sometime in early 2019.
