2018 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Wagon

If the high-powered Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S sedan didn’t knock your socks off, its distant cousin the 2018 E63 AMG S wagon surely will. Rated at a mind-boggling 603 horsepower, there’s one thing for certain: this is not your grandmother’s wagon.

This high-powered hellcat is the latest redesigned E-Class model to emerge, stunning critics and buyers alike. Like the E63 AMG S sedan variant, the wagon packs a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 capable of 603 hp and 627 pound-feet of torque. With the help of a quick-shifting nine-speed automatic gearbox, it tears through the air, going from 0-60 mph in as little as 3.4 seconds. Top speed caps off at a whopping 180 mph.

Power is channeled to an AMG-tuned 4Matic all-wheel drive system, which features variable torque vectoring and user-selectable drive modes that allow adjustment of the throttle response and transmission shift schedule. Two of these drive modes include Race and a top-secret Drift, which are sure to inspire some hair-raising maneuvers on the track.

Other performance features on the supersonic wagon include manual shift paddles, dynamic engine mounts, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, variable-ratio steering, a three-chamber air suspension and optional 15.8-inch brake discs, just to name a few.

In terms of design, the E63 AMG S wagon features a wider stance and wheels than its counterpart. The jet-wing inspired front bumper and sleek bodylines give it the fierce attitude you’d expect from such a fast car. The cabin also gets an ultra-luxurious treatment with AMG-inspired flair. Nappa leather lines the steering wheel and trims the dashboard and beltlines. A customizable 12.3-inch instrument cluster spans the dashboard, seamlessly connecting to the infotainment system. For seating, buyers can choose from the standard front sport seats or AMG Performance Seats.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S wagon is headed to dealerships this fall. In the meantime, check out our other high-performance AMG models online now.
