Mercedes-Benz makes an SUV and a sedan with an electric powertrain. Its electric SUV is called the GLC 350e, and the sedan is called the EQS. The GLC SUV has an elegant exterior design and exceptional fuel economy. Its interior is upscale and sophisticated, and there is plenty of space in the second row for multiple adult passengers. The GLC 350e is full of premium materials and technology, including a standard 10.25-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EQS is a sedan with a contemporary exterior design and a spacious cabin with upscale and unexpected accents such as leather, wood trim, and rose gold trimming. A sizeable horizontal dashboard that spans 56 inches is a highlight of the EQS. The EQS also has a robust hybrid system capable of 516 HP with the top trim level and the capacity to go from 0-60 in four seconds.

Cars in the EQ series differ based on their powertrain. Electric Mercedes-Benz vehicles only run on electricity. They get power from a battery pack and regenerative brakes. Hybrid cars are made with a gasoline engine and at least one electric motor, which is also powered by a battery system. Plug-in hybrids have the same build, but they use all existing electricity available before changing to gasoline for power to maximize fuel economy.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e will get about 70 MPG of combined fuel economy on the highway, and it averages slightly less at 67 MPG with city driving. The EQS sedan will get about 300 miles of all-electric range.

Using a 200 kW charger, an electric Mercedes-Benz can go from a 10% battery capacity to 80% capacity in a little over 30 minutes. With a 32 amp Level 2 charger, you can fully charge a Mercedes-Benz battery in 11 hours.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e SUV can tow 3,500 pounds.
