The 2021 AMG GLE 53 is available in two styles: GLE 53 SUV and GLE 53 Coupe.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 has 3.0-liter inline-six plus 48-volt. This yields 384 LB-FT of torque and 429 horsepower. The horsepower and torque are sent to four wheels using an AMG Speedshift nine-speed automatic. The ride's stop-start system boosts pressure to spool up turbocharger and power interior lights resulting in infotainment displays.

The AMG GLE 53 has optional Active Ride Control that adds two electro-mechanical actuators that operate independently at the front and rear axles. Additionally, drivers can choose between three damper settings, Sport+, Comfort, or Sport. It also has distinct driving modes, which include Sport, Slippery, and Comfort. The vehicle's stability control settings are Pro, Slide, Advanced, Traction, and Basic.
