Rookie TR3 Racing driver Brayton Williams and his driving coach Daniel Morad captured an impressive victory at the SRO GT World Challenge America Three-Hour Endurance Contest at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, last August. Williams put together what many called the best opening stint of his young career, holding strong at the front of the pack to fight for the Pro-Am Class lead. Morad took over for the final stint, taking the top spot with 40 minutes left and crossing the finish line with a 6.433-second lead. The win is TR3 Racing’s first endurance victory since returning to the SRO America series and Morad’s third GT World Challenge win in a Mercedes-AMG GT3, following his two Pro class victories at Virginia International Raceway in 2023.
TR3 Racing joined a pair of competing JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 teams on the track, helping Mercedes-AMG become the season's first manufacturer to claim victories in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes of the GT World Challenge. Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier earned two Pro class wins in the No. 34 JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3, while Jason Daskalos and Philip Ellis took an overall Pro-Am class victory in the No. 27 car at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
