Welcome to Husker Auto Group's M-Class Review
The 2014 Mercedes M-Class is just the car for you if you're looking for luxury, engine options and a wide array of package choices all wrapped in one stylish SUV. New for 2014, the M-Class debuts a sport package for ML350 models, which incorporates some of the AMG styling of the upperclassman ML550. This collection joins the previously existing premium 1 package, lighting package, lane tracking package and driver assistance package, parking assist package and on/off-road package, offered on all models. Available with four different engines, the M-Class also presents a range of powertrain configurations for Lincoln buyers to take advantage of, including V6, V8 and diesel options. Each engine is outfitted on a specific model and is tailored for that car's unique needs, producing exceptional performance Mercedes fans will enjoy.
Adding to its extensive package list, the 2014 Mercedes M-Class in Lincoln debuts a new sport package available on all ML350 models in its lineup, which gives them 19- or 20-inch AMG wheels and AMG exterior trim. In addition to this, buyers can choose from six other package options, acknowledged in Edmunds' 2014 Mercedes M-Class review, to improve the SUV. The popular premium 1 package comes with a rearview camera, navigation and 10 gigs of music storage, while the lighting package includes automatic high-beam control and bi-xenon headlamps. The lane tracking package adds lane-departing warning and bling-spot warning, while the parking assist package comes with a surround-view camera, front/rear parking sensors and a parallel parking system. Other collections offered include driver assistance and an on/off-road package.
With a variety of powertrains to assist each car in the series, the 2014 M-Class suits buyers with various needs and wants. The base ML350 model features a 3.5L V-6 powertrain, delivering 302 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque and is available with either a rear-wheel- or all-wheel-drive configuration. The ML350 Bluetec, a more fuel-efficient model, incorporates a diesel 3.0L turbocharged V-6 engine, producing 240 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque and is standard with all-wheel drive. Exerting 402 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque, the ML550's 4.7L turbocharged V-8 engine, noted in many 2014 Mercedes M-Class reviews, produces significant power and can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. The ML63 AMG beats out this time, accelerating in 4.7 seconds, and sports a 5.5L turbo V-8 engine, outputting 518 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Aside from these powertrain options, the M-Class can also tow a maximum of 7,200 pounds on all models except the base ML350.
