At the Paris Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the first wave of details about their new electric sub-brand. Called EQ—short for “Emotional Intelligence”—the brand is pioneered by an advanced, innovative SUV concept appropriately called Concept EQ. Get the first look at the EQ SUV in the video above.
With an estimated 330-kW system output and 500-kilometer range (roughly 311-mile), the EQ Concept satisfies in both performance and efficiency. However, that’s not Mercedes-Benz’s only focus when it comes to the development of electric vehicles. The automaker’s four pillars of innovation—Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric—are all of equal importance. By 2025, Mercedes-Benz aims to release ten all-electric vehicles with advanced technologies and high-powered capabilities like the ones seen on the Concept EQ.
