The start of the new year marks another major step forward for Mercedes-Benz, with an exciting vehicle debut planned for early 2026. At CES 2026, the brand will introduce an all-new electric model known as the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Built on the foundation of Mercedes’ best-selling GLC, this highly anticipated EV is expected to elevate the driving experience with added conveniences such as enhanced video streaming, music streaming, and more.

New Technology for 2026

The new Mercedes-Benz electric GLC is set to capture attention by enhancing the most popular elements of the GLC while introducing additional comfort and entertainment features. Drivers and passengers can enjoy a refreshed media and music experience made possible by advanced technology. The electric GLC features immersive audio through Spatial Audio and native sound integrations available with Apple CarPlay. The system also supports Dolby Atmos via Apple CarPlay, along with Integration as part of the MBUX suite. Together, these innovations are part of Mercedes’ “Welcome Home” package, designed to create a relaxing, high-tech environment inside the vehicle.

Alongside the upgraded audio experience debuting in the electric GLC, Mercedes-Benz plans to deliver similar premium sound technology in the electric CLA. Enhanced video streaming will also be available in the electric GLC through features such as RIDEVU, powered by Sony Pictures Entertainment, DTS:X Sound, and IMAX Enhanced content. To preview these new capabilities, Mercedes will showcase its latest media technology at Dolby Live in Las Vegas, offering immersive audio demonstrations and an early look at both the Mercedes-Benz CLA and GLC.

Beyond entertainment upgrades, the electric GLC will introduce advanced driver-assist technologies developed with key technology partners. The vehicle will feature the AI-driven MB.OS platform and offer an available 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen—the largest display currently offered by Mercedes-Benz. AI integrations powered by Google and Microsoft further enhance the experience, while a vegan interior option, provided through a third-party supplier, reflects the brand’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
