What's New For the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLS Coupe?

This year, the CLS Coupe receives an all-new MBUX infotainment system. A new touchpad mounted along the center console helps make this interface more comfortable to operate. It can be upgraded with Augmented Reality Navigation, which incorporates driving directions with live images. Another big update for 2021 is the car's newly standard digital gauge cluster. Mercedes-Benz offers the CLS Coupe in three models, CLS 450 and the all-wheel drive CLS 450 4MATIC® and the high-performance AMG CLS 53 Coupe. The CLS 450 is packed with in-demand creature comforts, including heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Leather upholstery gives its cabin an incredibly luxurious feel. There's also a lot of powerful technology inside the CLS 450. A 12.3-inch multimedia display with navigation comes standard. Available as an option, the 13-speaker Burmester stereo system brings concert-quality sound. Active multi-contour front seats with massage functions are offered as well.

Drivers seeking more excitement can step up to the powerful AMG CLS 53 Coupe. It receives additional performance features, including an AMG Ride Control Plus suspension and sport exhaust. A surround-view camera is standard for 2021. To further separate this high-output model, Mercedes-Benz equips it with a racy AMG body kit.

CLS Coupe Engine & Performance

All CLS Coupe models feature a 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. It's rated to crank out an enjoyable 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz's exclusive EQ Boost hybrid-assist system helps ensure maximum responsiveness. A nine-speed automatic transmission is found throughout the lineup. The CLS 450 Coupe can go 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds, and the CLS 450 4MATIC® Coupe can do it in 4.8 seconds.

You can sort through five different driving models: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, and Individual. Although the AMG CLS 53 uses the same powertrain, it's specially tuned to push out 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. AMG CLS 53 can go 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds. The CLS 450 4MATIC® and AMG CLS 53 gets a standard AWD system.

Automatic emergency braking comes standard on every new CLS Coupe, which has recently been updated with cross-traffic collision detection. Other standard safety innovations include driver attention monitoring, crosswind assist, and blind-spot monitoring. Meanwhile, the sedan's optional adaptive cruise control system can now use live-traffic data.
