2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS

What's New for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS?

The EQS is an all-new electric vehicle from Mercedes. The EQS is a new arrival on the market for the automaker, and it also brings many "firsts" to the class of midsize sedans. Setting the EQS apart from its peers is the fact that it is a fully electric luxury sedan, which is one of its most distinctive attributes. The Mercedes EQS also comes loaded with safety and technology features. The top trim level of the EQS can be configured with a 56-inch ribbon-like display panel, which is also the largest digital display offered in the Mercedes class. Several fast-charging ports make it easy to stay powered on the road.

2022 EQS Trims & Features

The 2022 Mercedes EQS comes in three trim levels. The lineup starts with the 450+, which is followed by the 480+, and the top trim is called the 580 4Matic. The 450+ has many desirable standard features, including a 12.3-inch digital infotainment display. This screen is standard with the top 580 trim, which is also eligible for several additional screens for a total screen size of 56 inches. The base trim of the EQS has active ambient interior lighting for a dramatic look, which is accentuated by a light-studded front fascia on the front end. The 450+ contains LED lighting in front and back, and it has a keyless ignition system that makes it easy to get in and go.

Moving up to the 480+ brings some additional highlights. This trim level has faster acceleration capabilities and a DC charger that provides fast charging capabilities on the go. Illuminated door sill panels are added to the second trim level, which also has an MBUX infotainment system with voice activation.

The 580 has all the features of the previous two trim levels along with a more dynamic infotainment system and more interior creatures comforts. Wireless smartphone charging and smartphone integration are included on the 4Matic. It also has heated seats with ambient lighting and a multi-contoured design for comfort. Massaging front seats and four-zone climate control are standard. This trim has over 60 interior ambient color schemes, and its infotainment system supports voice-controlled use in nearly 30 languages.
