The Mercedes-Benz GLB 200 has a 1.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine running on a seven-speed automatic transmission. The GLB 250 has a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 258lb-ft of torque and 221 horsepower. The AMG GLB 35 has an AMG tuned four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 295 lb-ft torque and 302 horsepower.

Both the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLB 35 and the Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 models are driven through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and are all-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Benz GLB has adaptive dampers that allow the driver to pick between a comfort and sport setup. Also, a stiffer suspension, which reduces body roll when driving around tight mountain roads.
