What Are the GLS SUV Trims & Features?
The 2021 GLS SUV is available in three trims. The first two trims carry over from 2020, while the third is new this year. The base trim level is called the 450. This trim is well-equipped with many standard amenities. You will get a seven-inch touchscreen on all three trims with the latest technology from Mercedes called MBUX. A larger center console is standard on the Mercedes this year to increase its volume of storage space. While all three GLS trims hold seven people, you can opt for captain's chairs to accommodate six occupants instead.
Along with these features provided by the base trim level, the 580 is equipped with a more powerful engine. It also has another zone of climate control and keyless entry. Some additional safety aids are also added to this trim. The AMG has its separate engine and a standard Executive Package with heated and massaging second-row seats and two wireless charging pads.

How Well Does the 2021 GLS SUV Perform?
The base trim level of the GLS is powered by a V6 engine capable of just over 360 HP in power and about 370 LB-FT in torque. The 580 has a V8 engine with an increased power output of 483 HP. This engine has a higher torque capacity of 516 LB-FT. With the AMG trim level, you'll get the newest and most powerful engine offered across the line, capable of reaching 603 HP. All-wheel drive is standard on the Mercedes lineup.
