What's New for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE?
After teasing us for months with the near-perfect exterior of their newest electric vehicle, Mercedes-Benz finally revealed everything about the EQE. The car is a full-on, electric-powered midsize Mercedes crossover. It is fitted with some new technologies, like autonomous systems and a new Mercedes drivetrain, to help it keep up with the increasing number of electric vehicles.
Additionally, Mercedes-Benz EQE has a new battery pack design. This design will help compact the vehicle while also increasing performance.
Trims & Features
The EQE will be available as a three- or five-seat vehicle and will come in multiple trims. All trims will feature the same 210.5-mile driving range and a total battery capacity of 105 kWh.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE will also have some new upcoming options. These include a 7" TFT digital instrument cluster display that provides all driving information, including the EQE's current energy usage and remaining battery power.
On top of that, the EQE will also come with a new comfort mode for the driver. The comfort mode can get accessed by pressing the "L" or "R" buttons on the center console, which automatically regulates steering and throttle response to reduce friction and maximize efficiency and driver enjoyment.

Performance Features
The EQE will produce around 288 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque. Other new technologies include a new, lightweight electric drive train powered by asynchronous motors that seamlessly synchronize the EQE's powertrain.
The asynchronous design of the new drive train increases torque for driving stability and performance. It will also increase the vehicle's overall efficiency and range.
Besides that, the EQE will be the first EQ-badged vehicle to feature a 50:50 weight distribution, thanks to its battery placement on the vehicle's floor instead of between its axles.
Safety Features
The EQE will come with a plethora of safety features. Many of these features will be standard, like the Pre-Safe Brake system.
On top of that, the EQE will come with a host of optional safety features, like traffic sign recognition and camera-based navigation.
Mercedes-Benz has also included a version of their digital cockpit from their SmartDriving car in the EQE. This system uses artificial intelligence to read signs on the road and help steer drivers around obstacles that the onboard cameras can't always detect.
